"Solutions" to avoid.
Do not use paints, sealers and other applications on interior walls or floors. They might temporarily block moisture, but they can't withstand the hydrostatic pressure that forces water through the foundation wall or floor.
Do not put plastic on the wall and cover it with insulation or finished wall materials. Rather than keep water out, it will merely make an excellent environment for growing potentially troublesome mold and mildew.
